I was fascinated seeing the innovation in this domain.\u00a0 I picked up a design book (don&#8217;t remember which one) and made some notes after reading.\u00a0 I found this file after cleaning up my system&#8217;s drive.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design implementation takes time, working on iterating and incremental upgrades helps.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with developer as much as possible during the design process<\/li>\n<li>Design process\n<ul>\n<li>Product description (summary in short)\n<ul>\n<li>User brief (What a customer needs)<\/li>\n<li>Developers brief (How will it be developed)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Research &amp; Insights (Digging to find out, who is going to be users)\n<ul>\n<li>User Flows(A diagram showing journey of user inside our product, mostly user experience)<\/li>\n<li>Personas(Various user roles and levels of different category of users who will be using the system).\u00a0Non-Users(How does system reacts when a user tries to access, log-in or lands in the system without access)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Getting closer to your customer and understanding challenges.\n<ul>\n<li>One to one interview(Talking to each team members and understanding the challenges)<\/li>\n<li>Questionnaires(Sending list of questions and asking for information which can be helpful in building product)<\/li>\n<li>SWOT Analysis (??)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Idea Generation Phase\n<ul>\n<li>A stage where all stake holder join hands together and work on the use cases of product.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Solution\n<ul>\n<li>Prototype\n<ul>\n<li>Use pen paper or software, get mockup ready and tested.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Build and Iterate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Product (Build the real product)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Idea Brief(Make a short description defining aim of project. It should be short, concise and open).<\/li>\n<li>The funnel of focus(Concept &#8211;&gt; Idea &#8211;&gt; Absolute focus).<\/li>\n<li>Research (In Detail)\n<ul>\n<li>Asking questions from stakeholder<\/li>\n<li>Trying to understand the problem on which solution will be built<\/li>\n<li>Usability testing(Seeing in front of you, how a user is using the product)<\/li>\n<li>Visual Research(Materials which a designer will find useful for current project\/system\/flow)<\/li>\n<li>Mood boards(Competitors aesthetic, typography, color over all experince learning)<\/li>\n<li>SWAT Analysis (No clue, WTF ??)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Competitors audit<\/li>\n<li>AN.A.B.C\n<ul>\n<li>Audience Need(Who is it for?, Are they crying out for it?).<\/li>\n<li>Approach(How are we doing it, incrementally or all at once with 100% features?)<\/li>\n<li>Benefit(Why should it be done? Will there be competitive advantage? Will you be first market with the idea?)<\/li>\n<li>Competition(What will be your place in the market?)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Typography, Color and Layout (Left it for now, will get back when getting into design part)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ps: I am not an expert design guru or product manager. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last year I was reading on product design.
