It has become more popular in the modern age. It mostly focuses on our thoughts and understanding self. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our life is what our thoughts make it.<br>\n     &#8212; Marcus Aurelius<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our fears are always more numerous than our dangers.<br>\n&#8212; Seneca<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some things are in our control and others not. Things in our control are opinion, pursuit, desire, aversion, and, in a word, whatever are our own actions. Things not in our control are body, property, reputation, command, and, in one word, whatever are not our own actions.<br>\n&#8212; Epictetus<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Seneca_the_Younger\">Seneca<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Marcus_Aurelius\">Marcus Aurelius<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Epictetus\">Epictetus<\/a> are some known stoic philosophers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The author has done a great job in explaining the whole concept if you want to learn about stoicism, this book is a good start. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I made some doodles as I was reading the book, I have added them with the blog.
