I am adding limited ones I could resonate well, read the book for the rest others :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Great talents tell great stories.<\/li><li>Innovate or die.<\/li><li>Avoid mediocrity\u00a0<\/li><li>Take responsibility when you screw up.<\/li><li>Treat everyone with fairness and empathy.<\/li><li>Strive for integrity<\/li><li>Value ability more than experience\u00a0<\/li><li>Ask questions<\/li><li>Don&#8217;t start negatively and, don&#8217;t start small.<\/li><li>Don&#8217;t be in the business of playing it safe.<\/li><li>Don&#8217;t let ambition get ahead of the opportunity.<\/li><li>Gauge opportunity cost<\/li><li>People and the quality of the product is the sum total of companies reputation.<\/li><li>Avoid micromanagement<\/li><li>Lead with courage, not fear<\/li><li>You can&#8217;t communicate pessimism to the people around you. It&#8217;s ruinous to morale. No one wants to follow a pessimist.<\/li><li>Pessimism leads to paranoia, which leads to defensiveness, which leads to risk aversion.\u00a0<\/li><li>You have to communicate priority clearly and repeatedly.<\/li><li>Optimism emerges from faith in yourself and in the people who work with you.<\/li><li>It should be about the future, not the past.<\/li><li>Treating others well is an undervalued currency, especially in tough negotiations.<\/li><li>If you are in the business of making something, be in the business of making something great.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the last chapter of the book, The ride of a lifetime, Robert Iger shares his life lessons.
