maturity

People say maturity comes with age. I feel it comes with experience, circumstances, and upbringing. We see youngsters starting to earn early on because they have to feed their parents and siblings. If they do not do it, everyone will sleep empty-bellied. It is maturity that the kid has taken responsibility on his shoulders. He could have run away in the darkness where no one could find him.

Our way of living, the people around us, our consciousness is the supreme teacher. We will not get mature by reading only books.

Many of you would have aged earlier and learned many things ahead of your peers because of circumstances and needs.

Who does not like watching IPL or sharing random shit on Instagram anyways?

nothing

There are some blank days in my life when I wonder what I am doing. These are the days when the brain keeps fighting with the ghost, an imaginary devil whose job is to keep fighting me and making me believe about nothing.

When I say nothing, it simply means why are you running? What is the purpose of doing all this? What are your accomplishments? What is all this nonsense? Why can you not sit idle and be in one place? Is this what you wanted from life?

The can was full of thoughts aimed at weakening me. So far, I have been kicking its butt and walking fearlessly by living in this moment.

parasite

There are few types of people, few who will suck your blood to the core. They will usually be critical about anything, pessimistic, and blame the world for their miseries. They have all the knowledge about the world, money, and how to suck energy and blood from others. They will excel at everything from showing fake confidence to giving talks. In short, they are good at everything minus their integrity, empathy, and ability to work/earn. Like a parasite, they will feed on your hard work, money, and success. Run away from such people as soon as you can. Every second of being with such people is like having a slow death.

delay

We are creatures of delaying decisions. We will suffer in a relationship, but the sunk cost will cause us to suffer. Things are not working well with business, but instead of calling it quit, we will continue spending time with the hope of things improving.

The same happens with giving feedback to employees, kids, or partners. We delay with feedback because we are worried, about how they will react.

We need to understand the importance of opportunity cost and living now. Killing every second, going in mental pain continuing the conversation and communication will only make us drained. The sooner we decide to call it a day, the better life becomes.

We cannot change anyone unless they want to change.

robot

What we want from life is companions.

People who stand by us in all stages of life.

We have added various names: partner, lover, wife, or whatnot. In short, we want someone who understands us, whom we understand.

We are living in a capitalistic society and money has a role to play it in. Money should not be the core meaning of life. Our relationship should built on the strengths of trust, belief, and optimism.

A lot many of us are so lost in earning that we have stopped enjoying life and companionship. We are a robot.

parchai

Kho jate hai hum rasmo rivajo mae, gum ho jate hai khud se, waqt har waqt khud ko dhundne ki lalak me simte rehte hai. Unke liye har waqt har muqam ke liye mauzood hai hum. Hamne khuda se kuch maqt ki mahulat mangi hai is gunzaish mae ki khud ko dhund lenge hum.

Hum samandar mein ek patwar ko thame chal rahe hai ke kabhi na kabhi kinara mil he zaiga. Darr nahi hai ki fana ho zainge hum, dukh is baat ka hai ki aadhi zindgi jine ke baad bhi zindagi ko ab tak na ji paya.

Rah dar rah mil jate hai chand kuch apne, waqt har waqt mann behal jata hai. Ab gunzaish nahi ki waqt mile kho zane ka khud mae, lagta hai auron ke liye hai jina suru kar diya hai humne. Kuch farmaiyssh nahi hai upar wale se, na he umeed hai taqdeer se kuch milne ke. Hum to dube hue hai khud mae, is kosish mae ke parchai mil zaye khud ki.

better

We are all striving for a better life. We are seeing mass migration from the rural population towards the metros. Most migrants are laborers with dreams in their eyes for a better life. They are illiterate and up for any millennial jobs. The life is unpredictable for most of them. What keeps them going is their will to live and not die of hunger. At the same time, they have to help their ailing parents and kids back home.

Thanks to the liberalization era and the opening of IT firms in India. We educated middle-class kids would have to migrate to the US and Europe for better jobs like our brothers migrating from rural India.

Our country is improving, but we are still far from becoming a producer nation from a consumer nation. We have outsourced manufacturing to China, and our educated industrial graduates mostly end up in Zomato/Swiggy delivery boys.

Climate change is impacting us in a big way. From feedstock to cattle grazing to living without electricity and coolers, fans are turning out deadly.

Our government can do only to a level. Most are on our shoulders. We have to foster micro-entrepreneurship and bring back small industries. Our consumption has also increased, and the repair industry is almost dead. It is draining our natural resources.

Dream

I met a guy sitting next to me who was flying for the first time and had a toxic happiness. His belief in god was infectious. He was heading to a new world, leaving behind a miserable life.

I kind of like youth with such every and sparkle in their eyes. The dream is to go big and win any battle. He fought with his parents and saved his earnings for the last two years. He paid the taut for his freedom to the new world. He will be working at a housing complex as a plumber in Dubai.

Most of us are born with silver spoons. We take life for granted. We don’t value our freedom.

better

We humans and our forefathers were crazier. They ventured into so many unknowns for our betterment. Their inventions and discoveries of their hard work are all over us. The modern marvels from the pyramids to the Great Wall of China. Or the inventions of airplanes, cars, electricity, and antibiotics. The list is never-ending.

Our world is changing rapidly. We have landed on Mars and the Moon and found cures for many diseases. We are still early in the journey. There are many unknowns to unearth.

We are getting better as a civilization in one way or the other.

mountains

The mountain teaches you about resilience, grit, respecting nature, and humility.

I was at Tungnath earlier this month with Mehul. It was a simple trek to our experience. But what I caught through my eyes were the lush green mountains and snowy tops. The locals with difficult living still keep a broad smile and their hospitality.

When you are in the mountains, time stops, and you don’t feel the clock ticking. The weather could change at any moment. When we started from Dehradun, it was sunny and hot, but as soon we reached Ukhimath, it was all rain.

The clean air to your lungs, the sweet water from steam, and many different birds with their calls are mesmerizing. Another thing about the Uttarakhand mountains has temples of Shiva, Vishnu, and Durga. Most places we visited served vegetarian and clean food.  It was different from what I witnessed during the Nepal or Sikkim treks.

Our life is the memories and people around us. I feel the mountain keeps calling me.
