Evolution

It’s been some time since I made a post. Like the rest of the world, I am also going through the AI Disruption. So much has changed in the last 12 months. For one, I am not worried about shipping and coding anymore. It has become more about managing code supervision. I have 6 team members doing manual tests. At the same time, we are working on ways to automate code review and testing so we can keep up with code churn. We are shipping 10X faster now, on the code front. The shipping-to-production part is something we are now focusing on.

I have been scared about saasocalypse and how our business will take a dent. On the contrary, we are seeing adoption increasing and customers using us more. We were the first in the industry to integrate MCP and create our WhatsApp agents. We have half a dozen other AI integrations we have built that will be shipped in the next 30 days.

Fresh graduates and even existing ones are scared about layoffs or job hunting. I understand we are told about the limited recruitment. My suggestions to everyone are simple: stick to fundamentals; don’t add keywords in your resume for the sake of it. Focus on one thing and be a master at it.

Lastly, the world is not coming to an end. Believe in yourself, make real relationships, take an internship, focus on proving your worth rather than CTC, and contribute upstream as a developer. And if you are an extrovert, learn the art of selling.
