We have a limited and finite amount of time left. We need to make the best of our living. One big part is our company: the people we surround ourselves with. Our mind works in mysterious ways. The flight and fight mode is constant. These scenarios and situations our company comes to guide us.
Growth
Building a product requires pain and people that willing to pay for it. With time we grew and added more features with customer insights. All we had were customers, developers, and I did support calls. We got lucky to be working with customers and getting insights.
Our growth happened with customers connecting us to more customers.
Umeed
Umedoo mae bane hai duniya mere. Jite ja rahe hai hum zindgi ko is kadar isme ki ab mae aur inme koi farq nai dikhta.
Chote se is zindgi ko hum ab me zete hai magar wo umeed he to hai jinke bal bute kal ke zariya banate hai ham.
Kya jine is zindgi ko naa-umeede mae zab hai sabkuch diya uska, jab hai wo hamare saath par har pal. Hum maula ke karzdaar hai. Unke de hue zindgi hai yae. Unke hawale hai sabkuch.
Hum, aaz is pal mae ziye za rahe has mast mad mast aur chor diya hai umeed unke hawale.
Virtues
With age and experience, and reading philosophy, I have learned about the virtues of successful people of the past.
- Faith
- Trust
- Benefits of doubt
- Big smile
- Leaving on the table
- Living now
- No regrets
- Give everything, ask nothing
- Relationship over money
- Living in nature
- Radical openness
- Action over the result
- Detachment over the outcome
We are running for our glory and Ego. Those past virtues look like chapters from some textbook giving limited importance.
As you see
Our life is like a maze. We see it and believe in it as it is, and it’s the magic of it.
We appreciate small little things. We celebrate them. It’s like a guest at a party and living to the fullest.
We are worried and complaining. All it will lead to is suffering and pain. We will get sick and die early. Even when we are alive, we will live like a headless chicken.
The choice is ours living life as a gift or miserable pain. This minute and moment matters. You can do the magic and change the life of everyone around.
expectations
We live in a world where everyone is fighting for themselves.
It’s an individualist society.
Thanks to the Western influence on us.
We are all fighting for our own.
How can one have any expectations from others?
Or if we keep any expectations, will it not lead to suffering?
I know we are no saints of the past, believing in just giving.
But I feel there is a reason behind it.
It is the ultimate liberation.
I see people suffering because of expectations and getting into anger or sickness.
Creation
Creation requires absolute dedication and sincerity. We cannot just outsource it to someone. As visionaries, many founders were hands-on, like Steve Jobs. They went through the fine-grained details.
It is like the vision getting molded like Van Gogh’s Potato Eaters or Michelangelo’s David. The patience needs to be there.
In the era of copycats, we have clones of similar products with newer UI/Brand floating around. But will all of them succeed?
detach
One of the happy secrets of living is practicing detachment from the outcome. Being on the journey and giving the best should matter most. We attach so much to the result that the chosen path goes against our guiding principle. We become sick and vulnerable.
What is the purpose of an outcome that you cannot celebrate in the end?
Now
A lot many of us keep things within us. We don’t speak up. As a result, we get sick. At the same time, some of us don’t like having tough conversations in life. We try to leave things for the future.
Our life works in mysterious ways. We don’t see things as they are but as we imagine. As a result, we get hurt.
What makes life easier is having clarity in life and an honest conversation with stakeholders.
Our life is now in this moment. We have to make the best of it.
everything
The day we realize we know everything, we are doomed.
The beautiful part of life is that it’s an everyday lesson.
We meet, observe and see the world around us.
In most instances, we soak ourselves in those moments.
Our learning can come from anywhere.
We don’t need to learn from the wealthy only.
Most artists and poets died poor, but their legacy is what the world craves, even now.
The stoic philosopher Epictetus was a slave. His teaching has made Ryan Haliday a millionaire and billions of us wiser.
In short, keep an eye open. See the world around you. Don’t be a prick. You know nothing.
