Change

We are not chameleons. We don’t change ourselves overnight. Our past experiences, learnings, and company don’t vanish overnight. It requires decades of hard work and dedication to rewire ourselves. The problem with most of us is that we all want to be better. We like to change ourselves, but we want it to happen quickly. As a result, we get frustrated, become lazy, and give up too soon.

We have to change for ourselves first. We change because we want to be a better version of ourselves. We cannot change for others. We cannot become someone else overnight.

Lastly, we cannot keep an external incentive. We are not monkeys to dance to others’ tunes or wedding night horse dancing for money.

We are humans. We live in our thoughts. We are delicate.

Center

Some of us get disillusioned and end up making our assumptions. As a result, we become possessive or impatient. We expect the world to run around us. It is this madness that makes many people cry, get into substance abuse, or pick up unwanted fights.

The sooner we realize that we mean nothing to most in the universe. The sooner we understand that our loved ones have their life, the sooner we accept that we are not the center of their life, and we will start living a virtuous life.

Our world is not the center for most around us. We are all fighting a little battle within ourselves.

leader

A leader’s job is to lead.
Take the organization out of trenches and as a shield lead from the front. A leader has to work to earn respect.
It has to come from their virtue, not because they have the leadership.

Another important work of a leader is a succession plan, building more and more leaders with guidance, mentoring, and hand-holding. It takes a village to raise a child. It takes many hands to create a legacy organization.

Company

Our world is by people we spend most of our time with. We have to be wise with our time management. In short, who to be with and not. Our time on this planet is limited. We should spend it with like-minded souls.

It is easy to be pessimistic about everything. It is easy to blame others for personal failures. It is easy to dream and die. A company around will foster positivity, and negative people will add pain.

Our success has a role to play with our company around. The sooner we realize, we progress in life.

Obsession

Self-help gurus and preachers have been sermonizing about the importance of obsession. Obsession has become productivity porn. It’s like a dopamine hit. People keep talking about it endlessly.

When you are obsessed about something, you will give all your efforts to it, and success will be yours. Self-help and motivational professional coaches have been preaching.

We live in a world where thoughts overpower everything else. We essentially live our thoughts. To me, this whole obsession sounds like becoming a maniac.

We need to have goals in life. But not on account of running like a headless chicken.

Escape

We try to escape from ourselves. We travel in the hope of getting rejuvenated. A byproduct of start seeing the world from a different perspective.

In reality, we are cluttered with our thoughts. We carry it with us in spite of traveling and running away from reality.

We cannot escape the cluttered mind of ours. We need to accept the reality and live with it. There is no escape from it.

Imagine locking yourself up for a few days without interacting with the world, sitting silently and doing nothing. That is when you will get to know yourself better. That is how you will get closer to yourself. That is when you don’t need to escape.

believers

B2B sales and SaaS business is more about believers using your product than marketing. It is about your customers knowing how you are changing their lives. There needs to be constant education, teaching, and information sharing.

Let go of your customers who will not vouch for you, who will not use your product for what it’s built. Return their subscription money. These people will not renew anyway. They will not use your product or add value. They will do more harm by speaking ill about what you have built.

B2B sales are word of mouth. It requires more and more believers to be evangelists. It is not about ARPU, TAM, ARR, MRR: If you believe in building a company that outlives you.

chances

We have to take chances and seize opportunities. Our life and success depends on it.

Many businesses were built because someone took that first step. It must have been an unimaginable action for many. But a few took it, and a few went all in. As a result, we got innovation.

Many call luck and many take chances. It’s like rolling the dice of life and running.

Originality

Your existence should be for your originality. That will give you a good night’s sleep. Everything else is secondary. What will you do with your wealth if you are suffering from multiple ailments because you became something to achieve it?

Time and again, with glamour or external world posturing, we forget our originality. We try to act on what is not our virtue.

We don’t have to change our originality for short-term rewards or eyeballs. We have to be authentic. Some will not like us, some will leave us, but a small bunch will stick with us for life. They are the one who matters.
